Bristol Palin Claims Baby Daddy Owes Child Support

Just when Levi Johnston announced to the world last week that he would soon welcome a second child with new girlfriend Sunny Oglesby, his former girlfriend, Bristol Palin, mother to his 3 year old son Tripp, countered that he is a deadbeat dad and owes more than $38,000 in back child support.

While not quite the congratulatory note Johnston was probably expecting, Palin, daughter of former Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, is hoping her baby daddy will pay up on his own as she is reluctant to take him to court, says TMZ.com.  According to the site, court records indicate that Levi is ordered to pay $1,750.00 per month.  His last payment was in June 2010, almost two years ago.

However, Levi is now fighting back.  In an interview with “TMZ Live,” he argues the Palin family is keeping him from his son, particularly blaming Sarah Palin herself.  But thems fighting words for the former Governor of Alaska and Vice Presidential candidate.  She responded to TMZ by saying, “We have never hidden Tripp from Levi or discouraged Levi from spending time with him.  Any suggestion that we have is false and contrary to our core beliefs.”

Currently, Bristol is getting ready to star in her own reality series, “Bristol Palin: Life’s A Tripp,” for the Lifetime Channel scheduled to air later this year.

Other than his spread for the Winter 2010 Playgirl Magazine, Levi is still trying to break into the entertainment industry.  Chances are he won’t be appearing in “Life’s A Tripp” anytime soon.
